Widely regarded as the most classic pub in Ranelagh — Birchall's is a 4.5-star traditional local with what many consider the best Guinness on the strip, an open fire in winter, Guinness, Beamish and Murphy's all on draught, and a warm local crowd that mixes rugby fans, regulars and in-the-know visitors. A former haunt of author Flann O'Brien, it has music on Monday nights and the sound is tactfully turned off when sport ends.
