Open since the 1930s near the city's former market square, The Crane Bar on Sea Road is Galway's most revered traditional music pub — hosting live sessions seven nights a week across two floors, with the downstairs devoted to nightly trad and the intimate upstairs Listener's Club (capacity 50–70) hosting more focused concerts. Silence is requested during performances; musicians have been playing here for decades and many of Ireland's finest were nurtured in this room.
