About

Dating back over 800 years, The King's Head building was originally the home of the Lynch family — Mayors of Galway — and seized by Cromwellian colonel Peter Stubbers in 1654, giving it its name. Today it hosts outstanding bistro food (scallops and foraged mushroom bruschetta are stand-outs), nightly live music on two floors, stand-up comedy, and late bar until 2am. The building itself is older than the United States.
